Welcome to the Cronkite Village online application. Here you will find all relevant information regarding how you can apply to be part of Cronkite Village, the Residential College for the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The following are some guidelines that you should observe in order to ensure that your application is accepted without delays, that you will have the best chance of being accepted, and to aid in providing a solid foundation for a successful start to your college career at ASU:
1. Must already be admitted to Arizona State University as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year
2. Must be admitted as a Journalism and Mass Communication major
3. Must have completed the Residential Life Housing application and sent required fees [ click here ]
Please note that by filling out this application, it does not act as a substitute for your application to Residential Life housing (listed above in the checklist). This is a separate application for consideration of admittance to the Cronkite Village Residential College. If you are accepted by the committee to be a resident of Cronkite Village, you will be transferred to the community from any previously assigned residential hall space. If accepted to the program, appropriate details and paperwork will be provided outlining hall transfer procedures, required course(s), and other important information regarding your Cronkite Village experience.
Please be aware there is an additional fee associated with living in a Residential Community of $49.
Cronkite Village students are selected by on-going rolling admissions until the community is full. This process begins in March 2009. Students will be notified by mail only if they are admitted.
Due to the web-based nature of this application, you may wish to consider composing your answers in a word processor first before entering them into the appropriate areas.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the program coordinator at .
Applications to the Cronkite Village Residential College must be submitted by June 19th, 2009.
